(SCROLL DOWN FOR ENGLISH)

Today the whole world’s eyes are fixed on two cities: Ayotzinapa and Ferguson. Our brothers and sisters in Ferguson and in Mexico are suffering the terrible abuse of their rights to free expression and justice. Images coming from both cities are similar – riot police dragging demonstrators through the streets, using tear gas indiscriminately –- but the dignified cry continues to demand JUSTICE. After the mobilization of November 20th, Enrique Peña Nieto’s reaction was immediate. The beating, the expulsion of students from Mexico City’s Zócalo, the detention of more than a dozen students and participants in the mobilization show that today, more than ever, it’s necessary that we who show our solidarity from abroad publicly protest and close our ranks with the firm intention to denounce every crime that the Government of EPN performs against those who speak out and resist. Not only must we denounce it at the embassies and consulates, but we must also raise our voices within our own communities.
The parents of the disappeared and the students of Ayotzinapa are calling on all forces to join the December 1 mobilization. A national strike will begin in addition to the seizure and occupation of the facilities of the PGR (Attorney General of Mexico) across the country. Also on that same day, Peña will give his presidential report where he will lie to the entire world about affairs in the country, while we tell the honest truth from the hundreds of locations where the people’s dignified rage is being felt.
We will be making the following demands:
1. Return the 43 normalistas who have been missing for nearly two months.
2. Punish those involved and/or complicit through deliberate action, inaction, or the cover-up and burying of the truth about what happened in Iguala, Guerrero on September 26 & 27
3. The repeal of labor, energy, telecommunications, economic, and educational structural reforms that violate and harm the interests and rights of the Mexican people.
4. Immediate release of all political prisoners.
5. Stop the criminalization of social protest.
6. Enrique Peña Nieto must STEP DOWN as President of the Republic.
